Programme of Activities

Walking
There are many public footpaths around Rivendell and Potash Farm where you can enjoy the beautiful countryside. We have maps that you can take with you so you don't get lost and we also have one guided afternoon walk on each break.

Yoga and Tai Chi
Yoga and Tai Chi relax the body and mind. We have skilled professional teachers at hand to give you free lessons.

Meditation
Learning to meditate can help you manage difficult and stressful times in your life as a carer. It is a valuable skill that you can learn and benefit from. Some of our meditation teachers have university qualifications which enable them to direct their teaching specifically to those suffering from anxiety, stress and depression.

Art
We can use art as a means of self expression and self discovery. Some of the volunteer teachers have long experience in employing art in their careers as trainers.

Massage
Whenever possible we have a qualified masseur to run a workshop where carers can learn simple massage techniques.

Eating
Mealtimes at Carers Breaks are a time to relax, chat with new friends and enjoy the healthy, home-cooked fare. We are able to cater for special dietary requirements if these are specified at the time of booking.

Relaxing
SunbathingExplore the gardens, soak up the sun or curl up in a sofa with a good book. This is your special time to do your own thing.
